Samsung is set to launch its new foldable smartphones, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5, in August this year. Leaks suggest that the new flagships will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC and arrive with the company’s latest custom skin, One UI 5.1.1 based on Android 13.
A new report claims that Samsung is now testing One UI 5.1.1 on the Galaxy Z Fold 5 (SM-F946N) and Galaxy Z Flip 5 (SM-F731N). The firmware version that has been spotted is F731NKSU0AWD5 and F946NKSU0AWD5 respectively.
One UI 5.1.1 is expected to bring a number of new features to the foldable phones, including improved stock apps, Galaxy ecosystem features, and enhancements to the Flex Mode. Additionally, users will be able to change hues while taking selfies and access the Expert RAW feature. The DeX Mode, Bixby Text Calls, weather app, and gallery app will also get various improvements.
The One UI 5.1.1 will be officially released to other eligible Galaxy devices a few days after the launch of the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5. Samsung is yet to confirm the launch date of the two foldable phones, but rumors suggest that the release is just around the corner.
